Friday Goodies

Friday, August 29

I got flowers > I took pictures > I made it into a wallpaper.

It's sized to my rMBP but it should be a size big enough for most mobile devices.

A last minute trip to Disneyland took place this week after avoiding it during the summer months, because of the scorching heat (that remained) and the tourists! I remember going when I was younger and the lines would be hours long. That's not fun for anyone! So, I avoid tourists season... but I missed it.
I didn't take my camera because I wanted to enjoy the visit but, mainly, it was too hot and I didn't want the strap violating my neck. ^.^
I did snap a couple of pics with my phone...

WEIRD MOMENT: At some point I went to the restroom and left my water bottle with my fellow. He said he put it down to tie his shoe when someone grabbed it and proceeded to fill it up with water from a near drinking fountain and drank. A) I wasn't done with that! B) WHY??

Tarzan's Treehouse, If you ever feel your workouts aren't challenging enough...

It's a Small World... One of my favorites.. because no matter how long the lines, it always go by quick. The boat ride is so refreshing and perfect cool down, it's air conditioned. Plus, cute little dolls and a catchy song I don't know all the lyrics to.  ^_^

... and of course, some shopping!

I already have two pairs of these (they go by birthstone) but I saw this trio and I immediately liked! The key-chain is self explanatory.... I also got this Alice in Wonderland mug (Instagrammed).

The night was ended with dinner at Bubba Gump, two blocks away, which was properly decorated.

A Season a Day

Tuesday, August 19

August, thus far, has been quite the busy month.. but very rewarding! I thought I'd come back with a post filled with pretty pictures.

This past weekend was kicked off by satisfying an a├žai bowl craving, white mocha latte and Murakami's latest book.

Next was a visit to Los Angeles County Museum. I don't speak art jargon, but there were some wonderful exhibits (special ones cost extra, currently Van Gogh to Kandinsky) we didn't get to them all because there's just so much to see but I really enjoyed the interactive portions!

There's also a "no pictures" rule on many exhibits so I forgot about my phone (all these pics are brought to you by my iPhone) and took pictures of the outside only!

An impromptu trip to Downtown L.A to watch the sun go down from the Walt Disney Concert Hall. It's amazing! It feels like a jungle with all the trees and the lighting and shadows created by the sunlight.

A little quick trip to The Face Shop to stock up on sheet masks (which this lovely girl got me hooked on AND delivered to me so many times) and these cute and delicious smelling hand creams. (the baby powder scented one on the left is my favorite!)

Now, Sunday was a day of rest*

Rest - ordering Chinese takeout and watching season 14 of Law and Order:SVU until 3am. -- That season was amazing! I'm mad at myself for taking so long to give in to "change"...

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Predictably, I made wallpapers of my roses..

ZIP files includes Retina Macbook Pro, iPad, iPhone 5/C/S sizes

I had a request to make this Instagram picture into a wallpaper. Katie, and whoever else wants it, here it is.♥

Friday, August 1

Last weekend we made our way to the OC Fair. I try to go every year but this year  I wasn't really excited for it, only because it was 98 degrees and me and the heat aren't friends. I will avoid being out in the sun anyway that  I can!
I was going to go to the beach, instead, but the beach is always there. The fair is only for a month, so off we went.

There was a lot of walking, tons of yummy-not-so-good-for-you food and carnival rides an attractions that made people scream and, some, throw up. ^_~

Regardless of the scorching heat, I had a great time!

There's more pictures after the break and many more on my Flickr account!
