What's on my iPhone

September 29, 2014

Does anybody else love seeing iPhone home screens? Well I do! I typically share these on Twitter but figured I'd make a special post about it since it's a new phone and I started "as new". It took me over a week to put everything in its place! But here it is, my home screen and lock screen, which a couple of people have asked to see... Also, three wallpapers I made!

✴︎All wallpapers from this point on will be sized for the device I use, in this case, the iPhone 6✴︎

iPhone 6

I pre-ordered the iPhone 6 Plus in gold and with 128 GB of storage. This is not pictured! The minute I picked it up from the UPS Hub, I went straight to the LAX to catch a flight to NYC ✦ pictures from my trip will be up next week, check out my Instagram for a few in the meantime ✦ While there, I had four days with the 6 Plus and I quickly learned it was not the phone for me. Amazing camera, though. So far nothing is really updated for it which made most third party apps have a ginormous font and made it a horrible experience. Nothing is discreet with that thing! Everything was too big for me. TWSS.

My first day back, I went to three different Apple Stores and found the last 6/Gold/128GB and exchanged the Plus for it. Meant to be or what? There were two people in front of me who walked out of line because they didn't want the 128GB... Thanks!! -- Now this is so perfect. It's bigger than the 5S (which I wanted) but easier for one hand anything. I love the round, softer look. I got a refund from the difference in prices.. and got the Pink Silicone case (from Apple) and the Pink Smart Cover (to match). ❤︎

Friday Goodies

September 12, 2014

I purchased these Gerberas at the farmers market a couple of days ago. I grabbed my camera and snapped away! I love how the color of my walls  (Martha Stewart 'Endive')  enhances their color.

The zip includes a retina macbook pro size (to fit most mobile devices) and an iPhone 5/S/C size.

XO, Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Random Bits

I Instagrammed these beauties last week right after I opened the Amazon box! They're classic children's books that have been illustrated by Anna Bond from RiflePaperCo. Her website has the whole collection as shipping in October, if you order directly from her site you get matching bookmarks. If you're interested, Amazon seems to have them in stock.

This Saturday, I spent the majority of the day cleaning the backyard and realized my pomegranates were ready! We ate like six five that same day! They're so sweet and delicious!

I had someone on Twitter convince me to give Scandal a chance (since I tweeted about me not wanting to watch it) and I spent the rest of my Saturday binge watching it. Danielle, you were right! ^_~

Sunday, I made my way to the mall to get my eyebrows threaded and get some eye cream and it became a Target scenario: you go in for one thing and come home with 50 more items.

Last weekend was a last minute*ish Vegas trip. I mentioned earlier this Summer that I planned on catching Ed Sheeran in concert, again, and that was the main reason for this trip to Sin City. I've also mentioned me not really caring for Las Vegas because I assume it to be only enjoyable for those interested in gambling and drinking their paychecks away... I'm still true to that. The lights may be pretty and give you a kink in your neck from marveling at them but you're brought back to reality with all the secondhand smoke and the alcohol smell.

That aside, the strip offers a great selection of entertainment. I actually would like to go back to check out a couple of show's that weren't available on my days there. But you know why shows are so popular? Because of the air conditioning! People just want a break from the scorching heat, I'm sure! I've always complained of SoCal heat - because the sweet irony is that I'd like a lot more rainy/cold weather and I murder my electricity bill every summer because I cannot stand the heat - but it was 10-15 degrees hotter over there (over 100*) and O M G ... was I dying!
Dramatism aside, the concert was amazing. Rudimental was Sheeran's opening act and they were just amazing! (Pic) By the time my buddy Ed came on stage I was on my second vodka + pineapple concoction and I kid you not.. I suddenly became a great singer! ^_~

The next few days included a lot of walking, a lot of overpriced water bottles, a lot sight seeing and asking "How much is this?".. me thinking why is a keychain $300... and how I don't have fancy keys. There was a 1AM ride on the High Roller Linq (not my idea). I was bored out of my mind because it's 30 minutes long and they charge you two dollars a minute!  If you ever find yourself in Vegas.. Skip it! It only looks cool and terrifying!

I had a lot more fun than I expected and took around two hundred pictures but  I can't possibly include them all in one post, so I chose obvious ones. There's a couple of more on my Instagram that I posted while I was there. ♥
