Sephora Haul

Rifle Paper Co

My favorite polishes (at the moment) are the Nails Inc. NailKale, they last a really long time and they have the best brush. I decided to get a couple of more and found them all out of stock. I signed up for email notification for next stock but last weekend I decided to check the Sephora website. They were in stock. No, I never received said email. lol Well, as most online shopping goes, I ended up adding stuff from my wishlist into my cart. Here it all is.

First, the makeup bag. We're all aware of how obsessed I am with Rifle Paper Co, so this should be no surprise. Their most recent collaboration is with LeSportsac. I've never liked anything from that brand...until now(sort of). This is the only thing I really liked from the entire collection. It's bigger than a hardback and it's perfect if you carry a tote.

Love the pockets inside!

In April's PetitVour box I received a tinted sunscreen and loved it! I already have some sunscreen and wanted to try adding some of these Cover FX drops, which I've seen all over in the beauty world, and create my own. I've seen so many way to use it, whether on their own, on moisturizers/sunscreens. Quite excited for this one!

I believe sometime at the beginning of the year  I ordered something from Sephora and received two samples of this. It's so gentle, moisturizing and my hair feels like feathers. I've been using their Night Cap Overnight Perfector and I have only praises. They smell so good but leave your hair so soft and light.

I'm running low on my current primer, The POREfessional from Benefit, there's nothing I don't like about it. It works wonderful but I do like trying new things and switching it up. Thankfully my face is a team player and rolls with it well. Enter Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer. It has great reviews and some even like it better than the POREfessional. We'll see.

Q: How many palettes is too many?
A: The limit does not exist.

This purchase is because of a gorgeous friend of mine who wore Chocolate Cookie and I couldn't stop staring. She then went on a mini rant as to why this particular palette was her favorite. So here we are. First thing I noticed is how the most used shadows are bigger. Plus!

I was looking for a translucent finishing powder and my fellow Sephora shoppers like this, one a lot!

The only other thing from Kat Von D's line that I haven't tried and has been on my wishlist for a while. I really like the tip! TWSS

I hit the mark for VIB Rouge for 2016 and it comes with this gorgeous little lipstick by Marc Jacobs.

I have like 1800 points. Not because I don't want to spend them but because nothing really calls to me. I decided to spend some on this travel size, for my purse, White Nirvana. If you saw my last two Sephora hauls you'll see I have the larger Black and White sizes. I really love these scents. Classy, feminine and subtle.

Now, go add things to your Sephora cart! ^_~

Big Sur, Ca

Big Sur

For my birthday this year I decided to spend two days in Big Sur. This place is probably photographed/Instagrammed to death but once you're there you realize why! Pictures don't do it justice. Everything feels different, it's so relaxing and nature's fragrance is intoxicating.

It was a five hour drive but the view wasn't so bad.

Now this thing.. ugh.. it was unbelievable! I didn't edit this or the following pictures because how could I? I'd be ruining it. It's so perfect! The water is the most beautiful turquoise. And a waterfall that spills into the ocean... There was also a seal pup and what I presume to be it's mother, can you spot it?
hint* it blends into it surroundings.
hint* bottom left
hint* it looks like a rock

These pictures are of the surrounding area and the park across the highway.. It's basically camping grounds, beach views and (lots) trails.

This beach is one I've been wanting to visit for years and I was most excited to see. And I almost didn't. The entrance is a so secluded and there's no sign for it.. We had to drive 15 minutes up where I had a measly 2 bars of 4G, go on TripAdvisor (thank you guys who left all the tips!) figure out what we were doing wrong, repeat two more times and as I said eff it (there was like 15 minutes of sunlight left) and we were driving back down I saw the "sharp almost invisible right turn" many mentioned! There was still a good four minute drive into the darn thing but once I got there.. I forgot about it all. It's mesmerizing... and so flipping cold. So cold and windy! I've been to many beaches to watch the sunset and all that cheesy stuff but this was something else. I had to keep turning around because my contacts were trying to jump ship, people were losing scarves and hats. That bad!

.... but so worth it!

Exploring with the iPhone

My last view before heading home. There's so much to see that can't be covered in two days but what we did manage to see was unbelievably stunning. Nature at it's best. ★

iPhone Backgrounds

May 18, 2015

In the last couple of weeks I've received some wallpaper requests from certain pictures of mine on Instagram. At first I didn't know if they'd resize properly since the pictures posted tend to be taken and edited in that square format that the default camera has. I also didn't want to make a post for one or two pictures so I waited for them to pile up and for inspiration to strike. It did so this morning! I went through my camera roll (all are iPhone photos) and edited away.

These are the eight I liked most. I went into my 2014 camera roll - Yes, I have like 18 folders on my phone. I'm huge on organizing and can't stand a 'messy' (100 of the same pic, wallpapers etc) camera roll lol - and found some iPhone 6 pictures I took (during those brief months I stuck to it) and they were too small for iPhone 6 Plus dimensions.. :(

... there's always a fine print
I think we're all aware that these are meant to be used as iPhone backgrounds and nothing more. Not for your email or blog header (I've seen this) and anything else that's not on your phone's screens.

May Calendar

May 1, 2015

iphone 6 plus

April was a crazy busy month for me and as fun as that was (truly), I'm glad to take a breather.

Yesterday I went grocery shopping at my local Sprouts (think Trader Joe's) and was greeted with a wall of tulips on sale. I cannot resist the allure of flowers so these quickly went in my cart. Which now brings you your May wallpaper!

There's three wallpapers in the zip, the calendar, picture without calendar and the full size (rmbp sized) for your computer or iPad.

The calendar in the back with the avocado is from Rifle Paper Co  and so is the case. Really, what is new. The bee notebook is from Jonathan Adler which I bought at Barnes and Noble last year.
